More weekend fun

So this past weekend we did two cool things. On Friday evening we went to the EMP again.

We saw a really cool exhibit on music videos
This is Milky, he is featured in a weird/cool music video. This is a picture of the actual music video

Aaron got to meet him in real life!

Unfortunately Aaron is now missing

This was from a way cool music video that they were playing in the big room. I don't remember the band name.

Creepy 80's music video done in a comic style. I think it's David Bowie

In one they had everything made of yarn, including this mock sound board. It was crazy!

A band made of anonymous members who wear eyeball masks. Oh the 70's and 80's.
We also stumbled upon A Bite of Seattle on Saturday when I wanted to go for a walk and we went to Seattle Center. Sadly there are no pictures but there were A TON of food booths and people. Double sadness we went after we had eaten lunch and way before we were ready for dinner. I also had some broth I needed to use before it went bad so we made dinner at home. On the menu was: butternut squash soup with panag curry paste, roaster mushrooms, grilled corn on the cob (Aaron impulse bought them the day before) and fresh bread. It was delicious!

Walking Downtown

By far my favorite part of living in Downtown Seattle is that I can walk to so many cool things. A few weekends ago Aaron and I decided to just go for a walk. We walked to the cruise terminal (a dangerous thing to realize is within walking distance) and down a little farther to the touristy pier.

There happened to be a marathon that day too so we heard people yelling and cheering but couldn't figure out why until we got home and looked it up online.

I am seriously loving my life. It's pretty incredible.

Shuffle Board

Our apartment complex has some really cool stuff on the Mezzanine level, like super old arcade games and .... Shuffle Board! We spent a good 45 minutes up there playing. We're succeeding at not watching so much tv!

Aaron won the first game as a total shut out15-0. But on the second game I beat him 20-1.

The losers had to take a sad photo by the score board. It was a really fun time (since we both won a game and got to do victory dances, which sadly there is no pictorial evidence of)

EMP fun

We live exactly a 14 minute walk from the Space Needle and surrounding museums so we decided to get a year membership to the Experience Music Project (which also happens to a be a sci-fi museum). We decided to just go one night even though we'd only get an hour of museum time because I want that to be a part of our lives. Just head out and go to a museum/exhibit instead of watching tv each night.

They currently have a Fantasy exhibit there and it's super fun.
Princess Bride original costumes!

This needs no explanation

Geneva, Pinky Pie is considered a "fool" character on fantasy. I had to take a picture for you :)

Aaron is about to be eaten by a dinosaur
Never mind he's fighting back!

We were trying to line up the hair, but I don't ever want to see Aaron dressed as David Bowie from Labyrinth.

Oh no I've been turned into a Cyberman!

I'm an evil magician with an invisibility cloak bent on destroying all dinosaur life!

Love Notes

After visiting Albuquerque for our friends' wedding, I came home to find these all over the apartment.

Entry way: "I'm so glad to have you home with me!"

Bed: "I hope you sleep well!"

Bathroom: "You are so amazingly beautiful!"

Kitchen counter: "I Love You!"

Inside Fridge: "You take great care of me!"

Yoga Mat: "You did it! Congratulations!"

How wonderful is my husband?!?
